Christopher Jones BVSc MRCVS - Clinical Director

Chris joined Dart Vale in 1984 after graduating from Liverpool University and has enjoyed all aspects of mixed practice ever since.  He enjoys walking, gardening, modern art and bird watching.  He is a very keen cyclist and has taken part in many sportives including the Tour of Wessex, Dartmoor Classic and the Brecon Beacon Demon.  He is currently training for stage 4 of the Tour of Britain.  Chris' secret is eating plenty of eggs from his pet chickens.

Victoria Goss MA VetMB MRCVS - Clinical Director

Having been inspired by Jim Goodwin MRCVS, when seeing practice at 15 years old in Paignton (when we were Hair and Beaumont),  Victoria went on to gain a place at Cambridge University (St Johns College).  She spent her first 5 years in Exeter doing mainly equine work and then moved to work for Dart Vale Vets, mainly doing equine and small animal work and became a partner in 2005.  She likes to keep fit and enjoys any sport that involves chasing a ball around a court.  She has a keen interest in music and wishes she had enough time to play her violin.  She loves walking on the moors and in Scotland. She is a big fan of Springer Spaniels.

Kevin Davidson BVetMed MRCVS - Clinical Director

Kevin qualified from London in 1989.  He initially spent 8 years in the Northeast and Midlands working in mixed practice.  He moved back to Devon, where he was born, in 1997 to work for Dart Vale concentrating almost exclusively on small animals.  In 1998 he took over the running of the Paignton branch from Mr Goodwin and it has since grown from a one vet to a two and a half vet practice.  His particular interests are diagnostic imaging, general surgery and minor orthopaedics.

Vicky Fairs MA VetMB MRCVS (currently on maternity leave)

Lauren Jennings

Lauren qualified from Liverpool University in 2014. She has spent most of her career working in small animal and equine practice, and has a keen interest in internal medicine. She rows for Dart Totnes, and loves nothing more than a boat session in the sunshine (and the rain!) down the river dart. She also loves to get up and sing at local open mic nights.

Emily Simcock

Emily Simcock joined South Devon Farm and Equine practice at its launch in January 2017. She qualified from Bristol in 2002 and worked in mixed practice in Somerset and Devon before heading to New Zealand to work in dairy practice and travel. After returning she went into solely farm animal practice in Devon until 2015. She worked with a wide variety of herds, promoted a pro-active approach to herd and flock health and ran many farmer training courses and funded programmes. Emily spent 2016 doing a maternity cover as a Veterinary Investigation Officer for SAC’s disease surveillance laboratory in Aberdeen gaining valuable experience in post mortems, pathology and consultancy. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Ruminant Nutrition and really enjoys looking at the whole picture of health, nutrition and production in farming enterprises. Emily has two young boys, an old dog, backyard hens and an allotment to keep her busy but she likes to get onto the moor for a mountain bike ride (or push) and enjoys an occasional hack out on something big, hairy and slow.
